The future of mobility – intelligent & connected

The automotive industry finds itself in the midst of a change from a vehicle-oriented to a mobility-oriented industry. This change coincides with digital transformation and comprehensive collaborations as well as new ecological systems. The key words of the future are connected, autonomous, shared and electrified (CASE). This concerns significant changes that also affect established processes, business models and fields of income. These increasingly shift, particularly in the fields of software and real-time data acquisition and application. For the future of mobility is both intelligent and connected.

Let’s develop the future of mobility together!

Automotive & IT in our DNA

As a management-buyout of the IT Department of a global car manufacturer we have more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. We speak the language of the automotive industry and create future-proof processes and IT systems for many OEMs and renowned Tier-1 suppliers in various core sectors as well as procurement & supplier management, supply chain management all the way to the realm of smart mobility. We support you in your digital transformation and shape the future of mobility together with you.

Smart Mobility

Mobility services that add value

The entire automotive industry is currently facing a massive transformation. Among others, this concerns a change in drive concepts from conventional combustion engines to alternative concepts such as electrification. But also the customers’ mobility needs and environmental consciousness are changing. Customers no longer want to, above all, possess a vehicle, but increasingly use various types of mobility services. To sustainably meet the changing needs of customers, OEMs and suppliers increasingly need to invest in new business models and smart mobility services.

Together, we shape and develop platforms for providing and processing smart mobility services that offer added value to you and your customers and allow vehicle owners to use additional on-demand mobility services (such as electric vehicle charging services and additional vehicle features). Thanks to mobility services such as car sharing, you will be able to acquire new types of customers and capitalise from new business opportunities.

Supplier management and collaboration

Pioneering, collaborative procurement solutions

Strategic procurement in the automotive industry is characterised by the selection of suitable suppliers, sourcing optimised in line with vehicle development, and the active management of supplier risks and capacities. Despite mature processes, strategies and processes may be in need of optimisation, as recently demonstrated by the events related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

DCCS designs pioneering solutions in the area of procurement and supplier management that enable you to optimally meet your supplier management needs and adapt them to given situations.

We focus on collaborative, data-driven procurement process solutions. In doing so, we involve all relevant stakeholders - from development and production logistics to supplier quality and after-market, as well as your suppliers. This enables your supplier managers to optimally control their daily tasks and necessary decisions based on integrated, reliable information provided by IT systems.

Supply chain planning

Optimising your inbound and intralogistics

Producing vehicles in series requires professional supply chain planning.  At the same time as vehicles are developed, production halls and their warehouses must be converted or newly built, optimised or set up.  This means that the respective inbound and intralogistics must also be planned. Logistics optimisation, in turn, affects vehicle development and vehicle target costing.

Together, we create IT systems for planning, costing and optimising your supply chain in the fields of inbound and intralogistics for vehicle parts and components. This allows you to simulate the right size of your load carriers for supplied vehicle parts and draw conclusions for sourcing as well as return possible optimisation potential to the development department. This also lowers the overall target costs.

Market regulations & production conformity

Ability to provide proof, avoiding delivery suspension and saving money

Due to regional market regulations, ensuring that market-specific requirements and certifications are met and verified is becoming increasingly important in the automotive industry. At the same time it represents an immense cost factor.

We partner with you to meet these requirements along the value chain in an IT-supported, efficient and cost-efficient way. Together, we design the necessary processes and systems to ensure the successful market launch of vehicles, from the product creation of a series to the change cycle of models and spare parts management.

From planning necessary documents and certifications, obtaining them from suppliers, to maintaining compliance, we ensure seamless data integration into your specific documentation and planning systems. In this way, you are able to provide evidence for each individual vehicle produced at any time, avoid possible delivery suspension and save money in the long term.

At the same time, and with the help of IT, we ensure that only parts approved for the respective market are installed in each vehicle (e.g. for exhaust, radio or flammability requirements) and can correct deviations by means of automatic test routines between parts lists provided by production planning and bill of materials in assembly.
